1. Ensure your arm is free of debris.
(This can be washing your arm briefly as well as optional shaving the area to get a smooth finish. This will get rid of any dead skin, peach fuzz, dirt, and oils that may be on your skin.)
2. Slowly peel stencil away from backing.
(Moving in the direction of the stencil being EXTREMELY careful. Where there are intricate small lines please take extra time peeling. We leave the insides of the backing in the stencils as buyers have suggested they want these to create negative space looks.)
3. Place stencils in desired area, making sure to get all edges flat to ensure proper seal.
4. Apply chosen product to stencil.
(We recommend using your fingers for this part since they usually pick up the most pigment. We find swiping side to side as well as swiping from edges to inward strokes will get some of the best and crisp swatches.)
5. Peel stencil carefully away from skin.
(Peeling in the same direction as you peeled off the backing while being careful around details and small lines is recommended to make sure the stencils donโt rip. Since the vinyl is sticky it will adhere to your arm stronger than the backing paper making it more sustainable to damage if it is peeled too quick or in a wrong direction.)
